What Marv's Supporters are saying... Susan Overstreet, Former Vice President Applied Materials Corporation The true meaning of leadership.... "Leader" has become a sadly overworked title in our modern vocabulary, too freely used and with too little expectation demanded of the recipient. Marv Hagedorn, in my opinion, is a man who embodies the true meaning of the word and has done so throughout his life and career. Marv worked in my organization for many years and in a variety of managerial capacities. I found him to be unfailingly honest, energetic, driven and highly successful. Far more than those qualities, however, I valued Marv as a man completely committed to the benefit and success of the entire team, providing guidance, inspiration and confidence both to his direct employees and to the group at large. Marv is a man of strong principle, sound personal ethics and a willingness to stand his ground regardless of potential consequence. He is intelligent, industrious, possessed of a keen curiosity and eager to make the world a better place for everyone with whom he comes in contact. In addition to being an outstanding professional, Marv is a fine husband, a wonderful father and a dear personal friend. Marv and I could not be more dissimilar in our political backgrounds and beliefs. We have, in fact, made a running joke of our philosophical disparity for the many years we have known each other. It speaks to his remarkable caliber as a man and as a political leader that I would consider it an absolute pleasure to cast my vote for him, had I the privilege of voting in Idaho. As it is, I can only speak to my fundamental knowledge of this very fine man and say with complete sincerity that his constituency could not place themselves in better hands than Marv Hagedorn's. Pete
Ellsworth, President of Concerned Sportsmen of Idaho: Laird
Maxwell, Executive Director for Idahoans for Tax Reform: Dr. Michael Tomlin, Professor/Principal, Selway Leadership Group: "If you ask what strikes me about Marv Hagedorn, I'll say service and leadership. He stepped forward as a young man when this nation needed him, and he is stepping forward again. And goodness, Idaho can use his leadership, quiet judgment and problem solving abilities. Having Marv Hagedorn in the Idaho House gives us a fresh look, a new and confident voice, and someone of impeccable honesty to serve his district." Guy Blalock, local
Engineering Manager for a major semiconductor manufacturer (past customer
of Marv's): Ty Palmer, President Mountain View HS Young Republicans "I will be supporting Marv
Hagedorn for State Representative. Idaho needs strong leadership more
now than ever. There are people trying to change Idaho to reflect the
views of some of the less conservative states. Marv does a great job
in keeping what we value as Idahoans here for us and for future generations."
Robert Rule,
Global Logistics support manager for a major semiconductor equipment manufacturer:
"Marv Hagedorn is a leader. He proved this during 20 years of service in the Navy, first as an enlisted man, then later as an Officer. He demonstrated it in his business life, and also as a proponent for sportsmen's issues in Idaho. I know that Marv will do more than simply "look into" the critical issues that face Meridian families. I trust Marv to put his district first. I challenge Meridian residents who are ready for real leadership to join me in supporting Marv again for House Seat 20B." Dr. Scott Allen, Chairman, Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife - Idaho: "I've worked with Marv Hagedorn for five years on the board of Directors for Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife - Idaho. I have come to appreciate his ability to listen to many diverse opinions concerning complicated issues and thoughtfully summarize our discussion and come up with reasonable solutions. His ability to listen, analyze and solve complex issues will benefit the legislative process. In the three years that I've known Marv, I have found his opinions concerning varied subjects to reflect the majority of our Idaho Sportsmen. Marv is a great asset to the voters of his district as well as the citizens of the state of Idaho." Rep. Lawerence Denney, Speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives "Marv works hard in the House representing the people of his district and does it very well, he's a keeper!"
